Our Commitment to Safety
The City of Tacoma is committed to ensuring the health and safety of all Expo attendees, vendors, volunteers, and staff. As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to develop, Expo staff will update this page with current health and safety guidelines and requirements. Current COVID-19 Updates:
- As of February 18, 2022, the University of Washington Tacoma no longer requires face coverings for outdoor events of 500 or more people. In keeping with this policy and current state and national mask and face covering guidance, Expo attendees will not be required to wear masks while attending any part of the event. Those that would like to wear masks in attendance are welcome to do so.
- As of March 1, 2022, the University of Washington Tacoma no longer requires COVID vaccine verification at events. Expo attendees will not be required to show proof of vaccination to attend any part of the event.
- Portable hand washing and sanitizing stations will be available in multiple locations throughout the event.
